On leave but on call 24/7

Sigh! Went back to the office just a few hours after I reached home. Actually I'm supposed to be still on leave!

Then 1 of the clerks screamed at me for a few minutes before I politely and calmly told her that I'm not in charge of that particular area of work. What's the world coming to?! I felt tempted to add that even if I was indeed the one in charge, I'm not her subordinate and she definitely has no right to scream at me. But I didn't. My friend told me he would have given them a piece of his mind if they called him when he was on leave, let alone being screamed at for nothing. I told him I might do that when provoked to the extreme. Guess my threshold hasn't been crossed yet though I was quite irritated and grouchy...

Wrong Place, Wrong Time, Wrong Colleague

Argh! I was at the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up being dumped work that was not in my purview. Argh!!! Why are some people so awful?! And why am I so dumb as to agree to help this awful person out??!!

My Top 3 SMS Pet Peeves

1. TEXTING IN CAPS! IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I'M BEING SHOUTED AT AND I FEEL LIKE SHOUTING BACK!

2. SMS lingo / text-speak! I can take a few abbreviations here and there but that's about it. I mean, how on earth would I know what these mean - 'L8', 'L8R', 'NEtng 2 +', 'ata2ud', 'GR8', 'BBS', 'BRB', 'LMAO', 'WRU'?!?!?

3. People who mass sms! Look here, sms-ing is already inpersonal enough; a mass sms only makes me feel like I just HAPPEN to be 1 of the MANY people in a LIST. Yes, maybe I'm being difficult... But if you really want to mass-sms, please just drop the "Hi guys!" at the start of the message so that I won't know I'm just 1 of the 50 or so people you are mass-texting.
